Holiday bin service

Port Stephens Council provides supplementary garbage and recycling bin collections for holiday properties during the summer holiday season. This enhanced service is available for a six-week period to manage the increased waste generated at this time.

• Garbage Collection: Your existing red garbage bin will be collected twice weekly.
• Recycling Collection: Your yellow recycling bin will be collected weekly instead of the usual fortnightly schedule.

If you own a holiday property and encounter excessive waste issues, we recommend adding an extra service throughout the year. This can help manage peak periods more effectively.
