Community Catch Ups

We’re planning for the future of our places in a way that makes it easy for you to understand and get involved. The Medowie Place Plan was endorsed in April this year and we’re currently engaging with the Tilligerry community to begin drafting their place plan. For more details on place plans and current projects in your area, download the complete ward update below.

In 2019, the Nelson Bay Town Centre Public Domain Plan was adopted, setting out the long term vision to revitalise the town centre. A key focus of the plan is to create streets that prioritise people, a greener town centre and more spaces for the community to enjoy. All of the projects outlined in the latest update are designed to help achieve this vision.

In 2021, the Raymond Terrace Public Domain Plan was adopted, setting out the long term vision to improve the town centre. It provides a great overview of our plans to improve the public spaces in Raymond Terrace. One of the key aims identified in the plan is to create a better connection between the primary shopping precincts of the town centre and create a more inviting environment for people to linger and enjoy Raymond Terrace.
