Financial assistance for medical waste

We offer assistance to eligible residents who have medical conditions. This assistance is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you are currently unable to manage your medical waste using the standard kerbside bin service, this program may provide some help.

Please note that the Council requires the following:

• A doctor's certificate that includes:
  • The patient's name and address.
  • The doctor's name, provider number, signature, and date.
  • The medical practice's name and contact details.
  • Confirmation that you are receiving at-home treatment or management for a medical condition that results in waste needing disposal in the general kerbside bins.
