Financial assistance for charities

Council allows benevolent, not for profit or charitable organisations to apply for up to 20 tonnes of free waste disposal in the Port Stephens Local Government Area for waste which is generated by a service or function that aligns with Council’s operational plan.

Applying for ongoing financial assistance

Organisations applying for ongoing financial assistance under the Policy are required as part of the application to seek exemption from the waste services levy from NSW EPA - Community Service Exemption from the waste levy
