Yellow recycling bin
Household’s yellow 240L recycling bin are collected fortnightly and processed at iQRenew Facility on the Central Coast.
Additional 360L size available for a fee.
The maximum weight limit is 70kg.
To ensure collections bins must be placed out the night before collection as bins can be collected as early as 6am due to operational reasons.
✅ Acceptable items:
- ✅ Single use disposable plastic bottles
- ✅ Single use disposable glass jars
- ✅ Aluminium cans
- ✅ Empty aerosol cans
- ✅ Paper and cardboard
- ✅ Single use disposable steel cans or tins
The majority of items that can be placed in your recycling bin come from the kitchen, bathroom or laundry and are single use disposable items.
❌ Unacceptable items:
- ❌ Recycling plastic bags
- ❌ Building materials
- ❌ Car batteries
- ❌ Gas bottles
- ❌ Hazardous waste or chemicals
- ❌ Oil, used engine oil
- ❌ Paints
- ❌ Rocks and soil
- ❌ Clothing and textiles
- ❌ Crockery and ceramics
- ❌ Disposable nappies
- ❌ Drinking glasses
- ❌ Foam
- ❌ Food scraps
- ❌ Garden waste
- ❌ Light bulbs
- ❌ Broken mirrors and broken window glass
- ❌ Heat-proof dishes e.g. Pyrex
- ❌ Soft plastic bags, plastic wrap and bubble wrap
- ❌ Polystyrene
