Road naming - Section 162 Roads Act 1993

Pursuant to section 162 Council proposes to name the road described below:

  • Proposed Names: Supreme Drive and Aspiration Boulevard
  • Locality: Raymond Terrace

  • Description: The new roads “Supreme Drive” and “Aspiration Boulevard” will be constructed off Rees James Road, Raymond Terrace within a subdivision Lot 4 DP 223418.

Adoption of Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 Chapter D16 Medowie Planning Strategy (Precinct E & F)

Notice is given that at its meeting on 11 June 2024 Council resolved to adopt the amendment to Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 (DCP) Chapter D16 Medowie Planning Strategy (Precinct E & F). The amendment updates the DCP to include the site east of Precinct E, identified as Precinct F, in the Medowie Planning Strategy.

The DCP amendment comes into effect from the date of this notice (9 July 2024).


Adoption of Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 Chapter B1 Tree Management and B2 Flora and Fauna

Notice is given that at its meeting on 9 July 2024 Council resolved to adopt the amendment to Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 (DCP) Chapter B1 Tree Management and B2 Flora and Fauna. The amendment seeks to update the DCP to provide greater clarity around tree management and ecological impacts.

The DCP amendment comes into effect from the date of this notice (16 July 2024).

New ward boundary change from September 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Ward boundaries between West and Central Wards have changed as a result of a Ward boundary review.

The suburb of Boat Harbour has transferred from Central Ward to East Ward, and the area including part of Harvest Road and Waterview Close, Medowie has been transferred from West Ward to Central Ward.

These changes will take effect at the 2024 local government election to be held in September 2024.
